It came fast! Ease of installation.

I couldn't believe it when the first original air vent cover on my 2017 RV shattered in the wind! (Forest River cuts so many corners!) After doing some research, I ordered this replacement and after seeing on YouTube how easy it was to remove the old cover and put the new one on, I made mine in no time. It was so easy that after looking at the other two caps I bought two more and replaced them. And I even installed MaxAir II covers in all three positions (cabin, bed, bathroom) three years ago…

Excellent replacement cover. I liked the smoky one more than the original opaque one. Although it looks dark, it lets in some light. Some here say the plastic is flimsy. Yes, it is thinner than our OEM cap. But it seems like it's going to be a long time. The hinge is a simple curved metal. To remove, bend the curved part at the end of the hinge and slide the cover in the opposite direction. The smoke is not transparent, translucent. Replaces cheesy white wines. look sharp

The slotted hinge is ideal for replacement. I can pinch it at the ends so it doesn't rattle when opening. The same chimney cap has the same design as the white ones that were replaced. White ones only last maybe 2 years and once they start cracking it's just a matter of time and wind before they crack completely. And I haven't been on the road in a year. Just sat there.
