Avoid Buying From Another Manufacturer

Do not buy this item I bought two of these junk They didn't last a year and a half without cracks It's seldom seen the sun and still fell apart

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Update Availability

Comes with 2 " trim only

It was easy to install but didn't turn smoothly. Also, the bottom flange or trim was only 2 inches and didn't fit. Previous units I've ordered from Ventline have come with up to 4" of trim and you can cut off what you don't need. When I contacted Camco after installation, they told me they only make/supply 2" trim, so I currently have a nice new roof vent with an old cracked trim.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Zero

Waste of time and money - Angry

Bought these vents in March 2019. Installed on my race car trailer in May 2019. My first trip was this week in July 2021. Both fan covers fell apart. The vent seals also look like they are decades old. I bought steel framed air vents to replace the original 1995 plastic fans. I've had to change caps before so don't expect them to last forever but TWO YEARS is ridiculous. The seller should be ashamed of such an inferior product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Doubtful

Air vent turned to dust in 2 years

This part was easy to install and seemed to be of pretty good quality - put it on my roof - easy. This was installed in June 2017. It's September 2019, I've set out for the first time this year to prepare the camper for the trip and the vents have turned to dust - nothing more than a few bits of plastic that crumbled in my hand as I picked them up. I live in Arizona and it's very harsh in the summer, but I still have two original 2006 vents with no problems. It's not worth the installation time

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad

Watch many videos

I found many videos showing how to install this properly. I combined them all. Use the template from the package and mark it with a marker. Drill corner holes and then use a jigsaw. File and paint, then install the breather and mark the centers of the holes where the screws will go. Drill 1/16 pilot holes and apply tape. If you buy a Camco it has all the mastic you need but is missing 4 long mounting screws to have all your hardware needs. Buy a self-leveling lap caulking tube and be generous…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
