Supplied with wrong screws

This is fitted with normal screws where many Class A's have a metal frame around the vent area and the screws don't even start working. It must be supplied with self-tapping steel screws. Luckily I had enough screws with me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to assemble it. They should stop trying to save money and supply the parts needed to actually install the base.

Pros
  • Vent
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Darn good value for money

NOT AN EXACT replacement for the vent in my Dometic fridge - it's a bit longer and doesn't have 'wings' - and I had to drill some extra screw holes to close the base get the putty in, but I was able to accommodate them just fine. I suggest the buyer also buy TWO installation kits with putty and screws. I also used a tube of silicone caulk where I twisted and ripped the roof fabric - but silicone caulk should ALWAYS be in any do-it-yourselfer's toolbox.

Pros
  • Patented
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Great spare part!

Replacement ordered for a broken rooftop camper van. It was a little tricky removing the old one, but once I was done I had no problem installing the new vent. I used self leveling caulk to cover the bottom of the vent and it looks really professional. I finished installing just before the rain hit the area and still no leaks. I'm glad Revain sells everything I need to fix my van and saved me enough money to pay for maintenance since it's on a ranch on the outskirts of town. Great product would

Replace Van Fridge Vent - Pretty decent deal

I was doing a long overdue service on the roof of my van and had to remove the old vent cover because it was covered in years of crappy decor. Instead of trying to remove the decor from the old, it was easier to take a new one. It arrived on time, and to my surprise, it even came with #10 1-inch stainless steel screws. The screw alone costs about six dollars at the store, so pretty cool. There's nothing special about the vent itself, it's just a thin plastic box with a screen on it. But…

  • Made from durable polypropylene plastic
Cons
  • Upgradeable
