works great. A few notes: 1. Preparation is very important. The instructions say to use rubbing alcohol. That is not enough. USE MINERAL PERFUME! I used a copious amount of mineral spirits to thoroughly clean the area. 2. If the awning is damaged by UV rays (which most people are), do not try to remove it after sticking it on. The top layer of vinyl is peeling off. 3. It is not white as in the description but transparent.

I used this on a canvas on a torn boat. THAT DOES NOT WORK. Literally after 30 days it peeled off. It does not withstand wind and bad weather at all. I put the tape on top and bottom and it failed in both places. They falsely advertise its capabilities when they say it works on boats including SAILS! No way. Look for another manufacturer.

Not sure what makes this tape so "special" for use on RV awnings. It's nice and thick and easy to apply, although you'll have to either pre-cut it to the length you want or use a razor to climb up your 8-foot ladder and trim it neatly. It arrived clean but even after a week of driving it's a nice yellow with UV stains which really contradicts my white awning. It's on the top where no one can see but me, but white tape or UV resistant clear film would be better.

Firstly I don't have any awnings of any kind, damaged or otherwise. Bought this tape for a small indoor greenhouse. It consists of a heavy plastic cover with a metal bar frame. The tape didn't stick to the awning vinyl material enough to protect it from rain, wind, etc . When I first installed it I thought the problem was that I hadn't cleaned the surface well enough, but I did it again with the recommended rubbing alcohol - twice to give time between cleanings and before applying the tape to let dry. It got better, but the edges wanted to rise. I ended up cutting a much larger piece of tape than I intended to use and "taped" the edges with Dicor sealant. After drying

What happens when a 2 year old $10,000 motorized retractable awning snaps at the edge and the manufacturer doesn't respond? They either replace the entire panel at high cost or look for alternatives.
