The extension worked as intended. The exhaust is now above the roofline. Simple math. My rating is based on its value. I don't understand why plastic can be so expensive.

The perfect accessory to get you over the roof with our Tiffin Phaeton. Fits well and securely. With the extra height, I attached another suction cup and tied it down so it wouldn't blow in the wind.

Wasn't sure if I needed it or not but bought it anyway. I'm very glad I did. Although the chimney exposed the roof without it, it simply gave extra clearance to keep exhaust fumes out of the bus.

The Gen-turi exhaust system should be a must for all RV owners traveling in tight spaces such as NASCAR races, tight campgrounds, concerts etc. It is extremely important to release the CO coming from the generator above the bus to protect your RV occupants and neighboring RVs. Carbon monoxide is deadly because it is odorless and colorless. I also bought an 18" extension to ensure the exhaust goes well over the roofline.

I bought this kit along with the 18" extension and suction cups. The kit barely rose above the roofline of my van, so extending it made it tall. We went to a music festival where tourists pitched their tents right next to the exhaust pipe. I placed a carbon monoxide detector right next to the exhaust pipe and between the tent.
