High quality, easy assembly

Overall it's really well made and runs smoothly. Some people claim it's not weatherproof, but it's pretty damn close. There are a couple of ribs where the cable enters and a gusset to allow for different gauges of cable and when tightened they are fairly waterproof and the plastic clamshell has a grommet which works fairly well when squeezed. Of course it will retain water if submerged in water or left out in the rain, but as long as it's plugged into a regular outlet with a cover you should be

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some issues

Beautiful plug, suitable for plugs, inlets and sockets

The ground pin fell out of my 50 amp van cord plug and after the dealer wanted to replace it I bought the plug for less than a tenth the price. The RV cable was stranded #6 - had to cut the old connector off with a hacksaw but then it was very easy to cut the wires to fit the connector. Measuring the length of individual wires is important because such thick wires don't bend as much. Also note that black is on the left and red is on the right - since this is 240 there is no polarity issue, but…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great connections. There is plenty of space in the hood and it easily accommodates 4/4GA cables. Most 50A connections won't do this, and the strain relief certainly won't work. But that's with detachable blades, easy-to-access screws, and even a quick guide to cable routing. Definitely beautiful, and only costs a dollar or two more than the Leviton at Home Depot. I don't have pictures of the inside (I was in a hurry to assemble) but some of the two are linked together which, thanks to their…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

Great fork! Love the big handle to be sure.

Great connector! I like the large handle for safe plug insertion and removal. I needed a 50 foot 6/3 cable but didn't want to spend $200 on a pre-made cable that can be found here on Amazon. I spent $137 on a transfer elsewhere plus what I already had and got what you see. These are dual plugs for direct connection to the home/shop/office electrical panel. Keep in mind this replaced 460R9W ($200 outlets) and I just can't justify spending $145 on each outlet I wanted to install to use with my…

  • Nice design

Do not buy this product - poor design and quality

I recently purchased this connector for my new Westinghouse alternator and found it to be very poorly constructed. For example the round pin at the top - the screw that connects the green wire to that pin can't even be reached properly because the middle screw in the middle of the connector is right in its way. This is totally unacceptable for usability. Second is the ground wire that goes to that top pin in the bare copper wire and has to be routed past one of the "HOT" wires and there is…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

I find Camco connectors to be the best and worth the extra cost.

I am a valuable (cheap) senior. I usually buy the cheapest things available and make them work. I have found that lower quality connectors are difficult to install as wire usually has to be wrapped around the terminal screws. This is difficult with 10 or 12 gauge wire, which often results in a loose connection, leading to overheating. Most of the Camco connectors I've used have an extra piece of metal on the terminal screw that is "sandwiched" between the screw head and the wire. The wire is…
