I've only worn them in the garden but I like them. I'm a size 7 and ordered a 7. I would say they fit true to size. The straps don't cut into my ankles or toes. No chafing (yet). My only complaint is that there are tiny little nubbies (I guess that's what I would call them). It feels like I have dirty feet when I put them on.
