This screw is for use with Camouflage deck mount. This system was used to install our 2012 deck at ground level and I had to reinforce areas on the ends of the board where the installers weren't using enough fasteners. Two observations: 1. They fit my deck construction perfectly. I use 2x6x6 for both deck construction and the actual deck surface instead of just using 2x6 under and thin cedar for the deck top. (I don't use these stealth bolts for my deck structure element, neither should you - just to clarify. They should use tension bolts and deck bolts are applicable.) I love these camouflage screws. Now I use them for everything where I want to take the board out later and also want to have a hidden lock. They work great on decking and have good holding power. Recently, while working on the deck, granite slab installers dropped a heavy slab onto a ladder I had just installed. He bent the 2x6 front tread but didn't damage it.
