CAMO Edge Deck Screws secure boards to the joist through their edge, leaving a fastener-free surface. Edge Deck Screws patented rake tip augers material out which reduces splitting and cracking. ProTech Coated Edge Deck Screws are ideal for treated, composite, capped composite, and PVC decking. 2-3⁄8 in. (60mm) Edge Deck Screws are recommended for boards 1 in. (25.4mm) to 1-1⁄2 in. This screw is for use with Camouflage deck mount. This system was used to install our 2012 deck at ground level and I had to reinforce areas on the ends of the board where the installers weren't using enough fasteners. Two observations: 1. The original screws held the boards in place and none of them worked. There is one spot where the finished 6x6 floor began to deteriorate in ways that we have not been able to explain, and of course there is no spot for the screws to "bite". 2. The extra…

They fit my deck construction perfectly. I use 2x6x6 for both deck construction and the actual deck surface instead of just using 2x6 under and thin cedar for the deck top. (I don't use these stealth bolts for my deck structure element, neither should you - just to clarify. They should use tension bolts and deck bolts are applicable.) Camouflage screws take my deck work to the next level.

I love these camouflage screws. Now I use them for everything where I want to take the board out later and also want to have a hidden lock. They work great on decking and have good holding power. Recently, while working on the deck, granite slab installers dropped a heavy slab onto a ladder I had just installed. He bent the 2x6 front tread but didn't damage it.
