Value for money stainless steel

I was concerned about some of the bad reviews on these screws but I think they were all plain plated screws. These stainless steel screws are great and are more likely to bend than break. Do yourself a favor and pay more for stainless steel. I had to remove a few and literally bend them into an S shape to get them out. They drive great with the camouflage attachment and guidance. You can barely see the holes on the sides for a finished look. I used them on HDPE boards. It worked great.

I used these on the new deck because I didn't want the heads of the screws or nails to pop out and catch on my bare feet. No regret. The adjusters take a while to get used to, but once you do they work like clockwork and seem to be holding the boards well. I'm not sure how easy it will be to pull them out when I need to change boards, but so far I'm pretty happy. If you look at the deck you don't even see that they are there! And since it's stainless steel, there's less chance of galvanic…

As with any new tool/fastener, training is required.

Replacing old wood deck boards with new composite deck boards on an existing frame. To make sure I don't have to do this for the last time in this house I bought the stainless steel version for the corrosion protection and the longer version to make sure I could fit snugly in the existing joists. There is a learning curve, just like with any new tool/fastener. I've had a few panties, strips and snaps before, but most were in the learning phase or when I wasn't paying attention. Overall good…
