The rough feel of those plastic fasteners. Video Shows Latch in Action

Watch my video if you want to see and hear how these latches look when fitted are actually installed. Note that my setup is on a converted bus, but you can use them in any RV. or even a boat. In general, I just wasn't impressed with the feel of these bars. You may not care, but for me I want to hear and feel a soft and safe CLICK. They offer a kind of rough, hard connection. I'm just not crazy about them. Yes they work, and yes they are quite durable when installed properly. I just don't like…

Pros
  • ➍ Easy to Install - Direct replacement for most RV, RV or Trailer - Replacement for OEM

Strong Latch - Inside

Wedge Latches. Roll-top closures open during transit and we need to secure the doors with elastic cords to keep them securely closed. Experience has shown that these latches keep things locked. They are strong and durable. The test will be whether we can reach and open the cabinets when they are fully locked. These locks are strong and keep the doors closed. One feature not mentioned is that when you park, you don't have to fully lock the latch, but instead snap to some sort of first latch that

Pros
  • ➊ Easily holds doors closed with 2.5kg of pull

  • Not bad, but...

Easily interchangeable latch. Replaces Forest River Original Factory Latch

The size, construction and ultimate quality appear to match the original Forest River product drawer latch. The receiver socket is easily replaced with factory screws and existing screw holes. It looks like the pin part that attaches to the drawer itself is longer (and maybe a little stronger) than the original factory part, but this time I didn't have to replace that part. Although I've only had one original factory bar (so far), I bought a 4-pack (just a little more money than buying them…

Failure Rate: 80-90%

Installed in cabinet drawers and doors in my RV has an 80-90% failure rate. They bend, tear, splinter, break, shatter, fail and fall right out. The plastic just isn't strong enough. Also, they come with the most annoying and crappy screws I've ever tried to use. Assembly is a nightmare because of the screws. I know there aren't many great or inexpensive lock options for wheeled cabinets. but I would never buy them again even if they were free. It's not worth the disappointment. For the record…
