Yes, it's made entirely out of cheese platters and cheese sticks, allowing for an almost infinite amount of customization, but since it comes with 3 Allen keys and a bunch of extra screws of various sizes, it would even require a configuration or two. Great job on this cage. Well built and feels good to hold and use. It offers enough "cage" without completely enclosing the entire camera, and offers just the right amount of mounting points. As for the "little change", I use this with the GH4 and a longer vertical stem (they have both a shorter and longer stem) which gives it some room and added a quick release for easy camera removal. . This cage represents incredible value for money. Each component is built like a tank and incredibly strong once assembled. The whole cage was packed with each part in its own bubble wrap, so nothing could be damaged in transit. Overall this is a pretty decent cage/base configuration. I was a little worried that the top handle wouldn't support the weight of my rig, but it seems pretty solid. The cheese stick on the side is handy because it's far enough away that it can also be used as a handle. If I could I would give 4.5 stars. It's perfect, except the mounting plate/stem mounting part really bugs me. I don't mind that this thing pretty much lives on top of your camera once you screw it on (if you want a cage that you can slide your camera in and out of in less than 30 seconds, you're going to have to pay a lot more), bug , I wish there was at least some sort of quick release on the stem mount.
