CAMVATE Camera 15mm Rod Type Universal Baseplate for C100/300/500 - Black Review

It's really hefty and has a lot of adjustment options because it has so many threaded holes. I use it to install a gimbal follow focus system and it works very well. It's a good build quality yet light enough. Also looks very nice.

Item received without screws as shown. I tried contacting Amazon support but the reply was that I would try and hopefully find the screws somewhere on the internet. So frustrated it put a project on hold that I was going to try today.

Just what I needed to get the Tilta Follow Focus on our Canon C200. The C200 is really secure with both screws and everything seems very well made. There is no backlash problem on either side of the rod screw. The base of the tripod also stood without any problems. It's a steal at $22.

I really liked this product but it doesn't fit on my moving head tripod (Manfrotto 502HD video head) due to the position. red mounting screws preventing me from sliding the quick release plate back onto the mount. The product is well made, but the screws are too close to the base. I have returned this item.

A strong, lightweight mount to mount your rig. You can easily and securely mount the camera or the base plate. This is a slightly modified version of smallrig. I chose this one for the extra bar support, although it doesn't tighten. That should help under load. I use it as a base for both of my setups and am very happy with it. It comes with 1/4 and 3/8 mounting screws and an adapter that also prevents the 1/4 from falling out. The wing nuts are also loose.

Good product and does what I need. The low-profile bracket makes it easy to install other accessories. Only 3 stars due to a design flaw - the screws on the sides are too big in diameter and don't remove the tripod head. I had to sand them to work to my satisfaction. Also, they have 4mm threads instead of the more standard 5mm threads so I couldn't swap them out for others I already have. Overall I would recommend it to others but be aware it may not work as well as it does on your tripod.
