2000, not 30,000 hours. Waste of money

Wow. I said that 14 months ago. One of them came off the base and had to be glued. About two weeks ago, individual LEDs started dying. Both died a week apart. Talk about planned obsolescence. That's 2,000 hours, which is well short of the 30,000 hours they advertise. We've wanted a really bright (100W) Candelabra LED lamp for years. We thought we found it. Plastic lid very warm 118°F, bottom 143°F. The base consists of an aluminum ring and a ceramic transition to the bell. Here it came out. The

I really like these

I've spent far too much time and money trying to make rooms bright enough with the new LED bulbs. The real problem is that the old fan lights had 4 or even 5 bulbs which lit the room very well. The new fan lights only have 2 or 3 bulbs. I've tried everything - color, lumens, watts. Here's what I learned. 3000K is the best color. This is basically the color we used for the old incandescent bulbs. 2700K is yellow, anything over 5000K makes you think aliens are coming to abduct you. Lumens are…

Pros
  • 🔥 TIPS: High color rendering index: CRI>85, daylight effect, vivid rendering of real colors. 360° full angle light, provides comfortable lighting without flash lights.
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions

Much closer to 400 lumens

I found mine 3 bulb ceiling light fitted with Phillips Hue chandeliers didn't provide enough light for the room so I looked around for brighter bulbs. I found them and bought a kit because they were cheap and the specs said they were nearly three times brighter than the Hue bulbs I had. (1200 lumens for them versus 450 lumens for the Philips Hue chandeliers) After replacing the Hue bulbs with these, I couldn't tell any difference in the brightness of the room. I found this very disappointing as

Pros
  • 🔥 MAXIMUM SAFETY: Thanks to fireproof and flame retardant PC material (UL94 V-0 rating), less heat build protects you from the situation when the bulb explodes out of nowhere
