Canon CLI 271 Pack Compatible MG7720 Review

I don't think it's cheaper to buy here than direct from Canon but you can't beat OEM branded inks for reliability and ease of use. I suppose if I were to print more I could try a third-party ink and deal with the printer's electronic nannies complaints, but for my needs this works fine. I'm hoping that XL size in the tanks will allow me to spread out the refills just enough to make them a little more economical.

Over $50 and you think you're getting decent stuff. Should have known when they were in the box and not in some tray. Two of the three didn't even have plastic wrap around them. These are C/M/Y Precision Ink Cartridges for Canon TS9000 series scanner/photo printer. Be very careful with them when installing as they will leak a bit after removing the plastic cover. This is inherent to the ink cartridge and is not a defect. They will stain our fingers with ink or, worse, drip something on the floor or carpet. I'm using a sample photo printer, so I'm picky about ink cartridges and only use genuine Canon inks. The color of the images they produce is very accurate.

I only buy OEM ink for my printers. I've used a lot of compatible inks and they used to work really well and were definitely cheaper, but the last few times I've bought them I've wasted money because a large percentage of them didn't dispense ink and the printer couldn't to register. Canon ink has chips on the cartridge and compatible cartridges require workarounds and you have lost the printer's ability to tell you when the ink is low. So OEM is my choice and if you can get it at a good price…

Buying XL cartridges is much more profitable than buying regular sized cartridges, and buying a cheap one package is an even better deal.
