Provides enough light to work very well.

Provides enough light to work perfectly with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM 100mm Prime Macro lens for Canon SLR cameras for which it was designed. High speed sync works as expected. Quality workmanship as you would expect from Canon. Batteries last a long time.

Super expensive, not worth the price

Super expensive, not worth the price. If it could trigger remote flashes wirelessly, like the 430 and 600 et do, it might be warranted. Works perfectly.

  • Robust construction

So the flash doesn't fit the lens properly (but thanks to Revain's excellent policy I just sent the filter back and bought a different size). The manual suggests this should work, but isn't very clear. To use the filter properly, do one of the following: a.

Good quality device, instructions should be easier.

This is a high quality ring flash. I bought it to use with my new 100mm Canon Macro L. The flash requires a 67mm to 58mm adapter that fits the 100mm lens as well as other lenses. You should also check the filter ring size for the lens you intend to attach. If it's not 58mm, you'll need an adapter to make it work. It's the well-built, solid device you'd expect from Canon over a knock-off or aftermarket brand. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because I think it's time for Canon and other OEMs to
