This works for me: Point and shoot digital cameras

I think this is a great camera for its size and price. Don't expect it to do the job of a larger, more expensive camera, though. I take photography seriously and have an EOS 20D as my main camera. But I'm not going to take this everywhere, so I need a small snapshot camera. I've been using this approach since the film days when I had a Leica Mini (much larger than this camera) for my "small" camera. I was looking for a new 'small' camera and the main things I wanted were: - besides good shots -

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No performance

Great little camera

This is my third Canon Powershot (other 110 and 260). I like all three and am very happy with the image quality and reliability of the older two which played a big part in the choice of this model. Digital camera technology has evolved so rapidly that the capabilities of this model far surpass those of the first two. Pros: Image stabilization: works well, allows you to take handheld photos of still objects in low light without a flash. Face AF: I thought this was a useless gimmick, but…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Upgradeable

GREAT Point & Shoot

When we were ready to spend money on a new digital camera, I looked at everything, but I kept coming back to the Canon PowerShot series. I think they are by far the best point and shoot cameras for the money. Our first digital camera was mostly plastic, and as I shopped, I found that many of the cameras were the same. On the contrary, the SD800 feels solid and well built. After a year of use and almost 2000 photos, the wear and tear is no worse apart from a few scratches. I think the only thing

Pros
  • Cool
Cons

Hard to beat, Really hard to beat

I've been using this camera for over 18 months and have taken several thousand shots. I have a backpack full of DSLRs, tripods, prime lenses and so on, but I carry this little camera in my bag so I don't miss a shot. It's handy to have, I pull it out of my pocket to record all my trips in seconds. The size and weight are perfect for the front pocket of a pair of jeans. Key Features: FAST startup, photo delay power button is short enough to capture everything, much better than some competing…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor hardware

I love this camera!

My Revain camera arrived a few days ago and I really like it. Startup is very fast and writing to the SD card is much faster than my old camera. I took a couple of dozen indoor shots without flash and they turned out great. The image stabilization really works. Outdoor shots are crisp and the colors are so vibrant. I didn't have to install any desktop image transfer software (I'm using Windows Vista). The computer automatically recognized the camera and gave me the choice of which photo program

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Working speed
