Bought as a replacement camera for my Sony Cyber-shot. I thought the Cannon name meant quality and with the new digital camera you can take high quality digital photos mainly of events and holidays. The camera started without any problems. I found the quality to be worse than my previous camera, but I liked digital video so I tried to live with it. After six months of ownership, the camera began to have problems. The flash "warms up" for a long time, so important frames are missed. Also, the…

ELPH 115 digital camera

Great little camera that requires minimal setup. We use it every day and just want it to click faster to catch our new pup on his antics. It's not as slow as our Canon A30 when shooting, but it's still a digital issue. Can't complain, we just keep clicking. The screen is a good size so you can see the image without difficulty. BUT if you're outside and it's very bright outside you'll have a hard time seeing what you're trying to capture on screen and guess what, you have it, there's no…

9 year old son loves it

Nice little camera. I also bought blue. The pictures come out clear, as do the videos. It has an optical zoom lens that fits in a tiny pocket and my 9 year old loves it. The battery/memory card space is thought out down to the last detail (close the cover when removing the card or battery!). A small button prevents the battery from slipping out by itself when the lid is opened. The SDHC card slides out as usual and snaps back into place. I think they are easy to use and take good pictures for…

For the price it's ok.

I bought this for about $69. It's ok for the price, but I'd like to spend a little more and get a better camera. It tends to blur many photos, I often get red-eye even with everything set to no red-eye. It gets the job done as I really needed something besides my iPhone camera that I could use constantly as it is so small and light that it's easy to slip in my purse even with the case on. I have a huge gun that I just can't carry around with me all the time. So I was keen to use something…

Good for the price of camera and photo

Bought this as a gift for my wife who takes a lot of photos and needs to replace her broken Sony camera like this one which she keeps. with her around the clock. We chose Canon because it's the best overall. We have a Canon DSLR with extra lenses and flash and we love it. Canon is up! This particular camera (ELPH 115) was not to our liking. Unless you hold the camera perfectly still and the person or object isn't perfectly still, the image will always be blurry. I'm not sure if image…

Great little camera for the price

I'm used to a camera with lots of settings so it takes a little getting used to. The AUTO setting works reasonably well in most situations, and it's a nice little camera to carry around in your purse or pocket all the time. My only complaint is that (as far as I can tell) the only way to choose a focus point (instead of the camera trying to figure out what you want to photograph) is to set it to program, which means I have to choose a different one must also set attributes. My trick was to…
