Review on Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 16MP Digital Camera (Pink) (OLD MODEL) by Ricardo Fast

Great little camera for the price

I'm used to a camera with lots of settings so it takes a little getting used to. The AUTO setting works reasonably well in most situations, and it's a nice little camera to carry around in your purse or pocket all the time. My only complaint is that (as far as I can tell) the only way to choose a focus point (instead of the camera trying to figure out what you want to photograph) is to set it to program, which means I have to choose a different one must also set attributes. My trick was to program a fairly "default" setting so I could normally quickly switch to "P" to get a "focus patch". In most cases this works very well. And indeed, for a low price, image quality, battery life, ease of use - everything is very good. The AUTO sensor does a good job of detecting faces, detecting low light, sunset, close-ups and other common situations. I just want to lock the focus point and then compose the image like other cameras. Also keep in mind that the camera does not come with a charger. I always buy a second battery (so I don't miss photos because the battery dies), so I bought the one that came with the charger, so it wasn't a big deal for me, but you should be aware of this before buying. That. Otherwise you will have to charge the battery while it is in the camera and your camera will not work during this time.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine
