Canon PowerShot ELPH Digital Camera Camera & Photo for Digital Cameras Review

Great value compact replacing a dropped and inoperable Canon PowerShot ELPH SD-850 IS camera. This camera is smaller and "feels" cheap. I personally like the mechanical selector switch and the heavier feel of the previous camera. The 150 IS is smaller, lighter and has a bigger screen. The camera functions are programmable but not intuitive, so using the manual for the initial camera setup is a good idea.

My wife wanted an easy-to-use camera that she could use to photograph dogs. a large enough number of pixels for me to crop and edit their photos. We both got what we wanted. This is a very good little compact camera. It is small enough to put in your pocket or purse. It captures crisp, colorful shots in a variety of situations. I am very impressed with this little camera.

Bought to replace the small Canon ELPH that my wife lost. She carries it in her purse for situations where her phone camera can't handle it (e.g. high quality pictures, lighting issues, zooming needed, etc.). This camera has met my expectations well. I carry my camera in a belt holster 24/7. People who carry bulky multi-lens cameras don't usually carry them around erratically. Many of the best shots are taken when you least expect it, and in most landscape situations this camera will serve you well. It doesn't do very well in dynamic shots with limited lighting.
