Simple, almost old-fashioned point and shoot camera

Canon point and shoot can be expensive. I like to think that this is the last of the really great old cheap ones. I bought 3 of these and took them with me on trips around the world and for example one of them was taped together and still got great shots in Iceland. Yes I bought 3 and they were used in: China, Hungary, Poland. , Iceland, Yosemite, SD, ND and WY trips, California trip to Mojave (amazing!), New Mexico and so many great places in the US from E to W except everywhere in Californiaโ€ฆ

Best little camera I know!

This is my second of these cameras. The front panel of the first one came off after 4 years of intensive use. This is probably an easy item to fix, but the 'zoom' has also lost a lot of its 'range'. I was in Europe and didn't want the last 4 weeks of my holiday to be ruined by not having a camera so I ordered a new one at the very last moment for my daughter to take when she arrives. work most of the time on the"auto". If I wasn't so lazy I would use manual settings sometimes, but I didn'tโ€ฆ

A cool little camera

I bought this camera for a friend and was surprised that it had everything it needed to get started, all the CDs, a printed manual, all the cables and a charger and battery came with my purchase (not with another purchase of the same camera). The seller even included an SD card! I've been using this version of the camera for over 10 years to photograph my artwork, edit my photos (using Photoshop Elements) and upload my images to my website. Since everyone has been buying smartphones, theโ€ฆ

Seems to be a good camera

I bought this as an upgrade for my Kodak Easyshare camera as I have an upcoming trip to Zion and need a better camera to take great photos. From what I've seen so far, it's definitely an update. I think it's a sharp camera. nice and compact, easy to fit in your pocket. I agree with other reviewers who have stated that there is nothing to hold onto when taking pictures. It's slippery and I'm happy with the wrist strap because I'm quite clumsy and don't want to drop and break it. I haven't played

Instead you can buy SD980

I bought this from Revain. The day after I placed my order, Revain emailed me about the SD980, which was about to be released. I would prefer the SD980. It's the same size but has a 5x zoom, a larger LCD, and a touchscreen. You can see reviews. Some like it, but others say there are problems with it. About SD960: I bought it because it has a wide angle lens (28mm equivalent). This is great for the photos I take. I don't know why everyone is obsessed with zooms. Most photos I take are eitherโ€ฆ

Good choice but I want more

I should preface this review by saying I've been using Canon DSLRs for seven years so Point and Shoot will definitely be a step down for me as an image. I find Canon has much better pictures than the Nikon Coolpix cameras I bought as a teenager. I bought this because I needed an inexpensive, portable HD camcorder (pocket camera) and don't like flip and similar videos; I wanted a camera that would also take better quality photos and that would work well together. Overall I'm happy with her, butโ€ฆ
