THIS MODEL IS BETTER THAN THE NEW MODEL

I don't have the new model but I know all the features of the old model and the new model are the same except for one important aspect that was important to me. This model uses AA batteries. The newer model (SX 170) uses a proprietary rechargeable lithium battery that costs $46. When buying a small compact camera with a large zoom range, I spent days comparing prices, megapixels, zoom lenses and the costs of necessary accessories. I like the Powershot SX in this group because while it's small…

The camera is way better than I thought!

For the past 2 years I've been looking at Canon SX series cameras, but as I'm a person who only gets satisfied with cameras using lithium batteries can, I have shied away from them. So I finally did it after reading that the AA battery life is getting better. If you buy multiple batteries, preferably Eneloops, you'll be happy. ADVANTAGES: * Captures GREAT, CLEAR photos with TRUE COLOR as well as GREAT MACRO (close-up) shots. (I took a few grainy photos while playing with it, but that was my…

Pros
  • DIGIC 4 image processor, runs on 2 AA batteries
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great if you're buying for the right reasons.

OVERVIEW: A great fun camera that a serious photographer can use as a backup/secondary camera, but not the best option for quick family or pet snaps. Turn on this camera to take quick shots of kids on vacation, things in a bar, or anywhere there's low light and you need a lightning-fast response, then don't worry. This camera is not made for that. Too many people don't do research. They just see a big number like "16x Zoom" and think they need it. If you're looking for a camera that's even…

last minute choice. Haven't regretted it for a minute!

Before I "take any risk" with this purchase, I *DESCRIBE* less than 30 seconds before I press the "Checkout" button, for Fujifilm's FinePix S6800."Why? Because while I've always avoided "Canon" products in the past, I wanted something more versatile than Nikon's "Coolpix L18" (which, due to several frequent and valid complaints as a company, I will never recommend). , and her work). products) that I replaced, but I was also hoping to find something similar in the same price range. and Canon's…
