Pretty difficult to put together but I managed. It's easy to clean. As for the chew guard, I don't know because my dog doesn't chew on it. It's very pretty and my dog loves it, especially when it's hot outside. Air blows from below to keep you cool.

Overall we love it, we bought it to take our pup into the shallows so we wanted something that was easy to put together and take apart. the bed was very narrow, hopefully it will loosen up over time. I was hoping the legs would fold in, but the tubes just slide into the fittings.

I am so glad I chose this four poster bed. I bought another brand a little over a year ago and it doesn't even come close. This pet bed is great. Very spacious. Perfect fit for my 4 year old Weimaraner, with room for an extra fluffy baby. Assembly took a little longer than expected. Needed an extra pair of hands but otherwise no complaints.

We have two full blown labs and have tested the four biggest and most powerful versions you can buy this year. All four are already broken, so I'm looking for new dog beds again. They're great when they work, but then the stitching starts to unravel and the support straps underneath come loose and then boom, your dogs are on the floor.

I had high hopes for this bed (size XL) for my 80lb German Shepherd. In summer our patio is sunny until midday and I was hoping it would be a good shady spot for her to relax. When I was about to put it away for the winter, I noticed that the canopy was tearing apart and felt so "crunchy" like some fabric that shouldn't be exposed to the sun and would go bad in a season. Also, the center strap was torn under the bed where it was sewn to the fabric of the bed base. I don't know how fixable that…

I ordered this 4 months ago and initially thought it was great. On the other hand, it was still winter and we hardly used it due to the weather. We put it back in storage for probably a month (maybe longer) before deciding it was warm enough to come out again. A few weeks ago I noticed tears on the fabric near the frame, no chew marks, just tears on the fabric. Today I watched my dog try to sit on it and saw the fabric tear around the edges. It's a bit difficult not to give a bad review on this as I didn't receive all the parts but the products themselves are great. I agree with other reviewers who said there should be more space between the bed and the canopy, but that doesn't seem to bother my dogs. I have 2 60lb labs and they both slide under easily with a little maneuvering. It seems convenient enough to justify the extra effort.
