The need to transport artworks

Essential for artwork conservation. I am a former gallery owner and have been using glassine for many years. This roll was purchased to protect my collection during a move. I apply glassine to the surface of all my artwork before packaging it for shipping.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Answer found: Paper

Absolutely met my expectations. Working in pastel and having to hold a hand on the finished surface out of the way was a dilemma even when using a bridge. This problem is solved, and another plus is the safe storage of finished products while they await framing. Highly recommended and will buy again.

Pros
  • Handicrafts and sewing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Very useful stuff.

I use a roll of Cason parchment paper to cover the finished pastels so they can be stacked. Not angry. Transparent so I can see each pastel. When I take my pastels for professional scanning, I temporarily attach the pastels to the foam core with Artist's White Tape and cover the work with parchment to protect the pastels during shipping. Very useful stuff.

Pros
  • Decor Paper
Cons
  • Don't remember

Very good product performance.

There is not much to say about Glassine. I use it to store my pastel drawings/paintings by sandwiching them to protect them from pastel, charcoal or graphite dust from other work. I also want to use it for some other things in my mixed media work. This is a great product, does what it says on the tin, high quality especially for the price. I just wish I had thought about using this stuff sooner.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • High Price
