It's worth it!

Once I got used to it, it became easy to work with. I tried to stretch the canvas for a five-part painting on self-made stretcher frames. With a few false starts it was a good tool for the price and did what I needed.

Pros
  • Rubber grips to minimize stains on canvas.
Cons
  • old

Great tool for stretching the canvas without tearing the material.

Very easy to use for stretching canvases. Having pulled 7-8 large canvases for the house, I wondered how I could live without this tool. My original canvas chuck was all metal with metal jaws. My only complaint is the spring that fits between the pincer handles; It is not attached to…

Pros
  • Ideal for the studio or classroom and for stretching large canvases
Cons
  • Some little things
