Head without hex

Maybe I misread something or ordered wrong but thought I'd get a hex socket. I know the bit is a hex, but I need a socket! it is a square. it's frustrating. I have hex bolts and need a hex for them.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Works great in custom power heads

1/8 inch used to remove three (3) badly rusted set screws holding a 1 1/2 hp motor shaft. to the brass impeller of the pool. Days, and then with this head, 6" extension, and 1/4" ratchet handle, they were relatively easy to remove. more pressure. The shorter hex head worked great, although I first tapped the end of the extension to fully cauterize the tool and then had to loosen the set screw with pliers after removing it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Specially Required

I'm obsessed with preparedness. I've said it many times, I just like to be prepared when things go wrong. That's why I carry a tool kit in the saddlebags of my Harley Bagger. Try to keep the weight and dimensions as small as possible. Well, one of the things I need is a 3/8" hex wrench to remove the transmission dipstick. I already have a small 1/4" ratchet and 3/8" drive adapter. That little outlet is fine. Fits well and beautifully. A bit heavy for a single socket, but I consider it…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No show
