🌳 CaptainCrafts Happy Tree Paint by Numbers: Linen Canvas Kit for Adults & Kids, 16x20" (with Frame) Review

Very cheaply made and packaged! The drawing surface is paper that looks like a canvas; the work surface is mounted incorrectly on the frame and part of the work surface is wrapped around the top and one side of the frame! very very poor quality. will be back!

I like the design, but I wasn't impressed by the finish. It doesn't offer good coverage. I have to repaint areas twice, sometimes more than twice. I even applied a coat of clear plaster to the canvas first to improve coverage. It didn't help. It's going to take me forever to finish this and I'm not sure it will end up looking good. Just take a look.

I'm ready to throw this PBN in the trash. The markings are unreadable even with hobby glasses, and the colors are the consistency of driveway caulk. The manufacturer's website is entirely in Chinese, so I can't complain to them. I posted some photos. One compares this picture to another PBN I'll start in a moment. The difference is pretty dramatic. Stay away from it.

I love doing this painting but it could have been a lot nicer if I didn't have problems with the colour. The color was not enough for the largest areas. Some paint canisters were only half full for these large areas. And the paint is of poor quality. It tended to stick together when you used it. Also, some of them didn't cover the numbers and lines and I had to go through the lighter areas 2, 3, sometimes 4 times before the numbers and lines weren't visible. Too bad they sent enough good…

The finished product will look pretty nice if you are very very careful and precise and take your time. The problem is that the writing on the carpet is almost impossible to read or follow. They give you a guide printed on paper and I ended up actually photographing, enlarging and printing out parts of that guide to follow! This is an exceptional set compared to several others I have made, thin so easy to cover. The lines are light gray, not black or red. Double paint cans for commonly used paints are included. A paper version of the print with all the numbers is included, useful for touch-ups and small gaps along the way. beautiful and the colors are bright.
