Is there a better one? best art supplies, drawing and art supplies

This product is one of the most magical things I have ever seen at art supplies. Is it worth buying the whole set? If they ever come out as pencils I could die from product quality overload. I was sad but a few of my pastels broke. A little pressure goes a long way. It's hyper-reactive to water, so watery eyes can make a world of difference. Mixing is seamless. This is superior to conventional watercolor paints. So much more control. There is so much you can do. This is probably one of the best

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • So far so good

I love her! via arts, paints and crafts supplies

I've seen them in YouTube art magazine videos all the time and I MUST have them. I am happy to report that I was not disappointed. The jar is amazing, love using the top to mix colors! You can paint with them and then use the water brush on them, or touch the tip of the water brush and use it to create an almost watercolor-like effect. I broke the white chalk in half about a week after receiving it, but that was the only one and I wrote really hard (I can't use mechanical pencils for example…

  • Handy item

Great set of creamy, vibrant colors!

This is a good size set with 84 different colors. I tried them on as soon as I received my set. The colors are bright and saturated. I made thick samples to see how deep the vibration is. I used a nylon brush with water and a damp cloth to wipe away the paint. Colors wash off easily and leave no traces on fingers. Some colors really stand out on paper. I used 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper, which has a clear tooth that I can see when I apply the paint. Trying to pick my favorite colors…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Fading

in their colors and even thought of as a fake set. The packaging is pretty cool, but apparently not intuitive for some! First tip: don't throw away the cardboard around the can. Cut it into pieces and inside you will find a nice color chart to color in. Then it can fit in a jar. I colored the full hexagons and painted the right halves with water and a brush. Second tip: Open the jar and lift the top metal shell (not just the plastic part) to reveal the second shell underneath. The top shell…

Incredible colors and unique environment

I love them! They work the same as watercolor pencils but are much smoother, heavier and creamier when dry and offer more coverage when wet. Colors are bright and vibrant, and this set offers a wide range of colors and neutrals for skin tones. They can be used by applying directly to dry paper and then brushing. Use the brush to pick color straight off the pastel for lighter washes, or for deeper coverage when applied to wet paper. So far I've used them successfully on mixed media paper, art…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

A++ product, I use them as face paints

I use them as face paints. They are amazing. I make a small puddle in my left palm - rub the Neocolor pen around and turn it into color and use the pen to apply it to my face/hands etc. The color is gorgeous and opaque and best of all (unlike greasy face paints) these neo colors are absolutely indelible from your costume. Another amazing thing is that they are easy to clean with a damp cloth or washcloth and water. You may need to do a little work and use soap for the red color. I have a huge…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

They are wax-based but water-soluble - ideal for touching up

As an underpainting, I usually apply watercolor or a thin oil base to pastel cardboard. Both methods are still excellent ways to create some kind of "sound map". I watched Johannes Vluthuis paint with pastels using Caran d'Ache Neoclor II as a touch up. Apply a few marks of the desired shade and color, activate them with a water brush or a regular watercolor brush (not precious as sanded surfaces don't suit) and you'll easily get a touch up with colors just as cheerful. The pastel works right…
