Carbs didn't work as advertised.

This product did not fit. The choke lever would not lock and the carb would idle but would not let the bike move when on. The mechanics tried to fix the problem but to no avail.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Disadvantages

Only idle, no throttle

99 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 Looks like a good quality part and bolts on. The four-wheeler idles, but does not press on the gas. Suffocated and died. I cleaned my original carburetor and it works great now. I returned this item with no problems

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Fairly good

Engine only works with choke

Carburettor only works with choke. I open the choke and the engine dies. I can't find any corrections so I'm sending it back. If anyone has a solution please let me know. I have 2 days before I can get it to UPS so I'll play around with it until Monday January 7th.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Repair

Correct form and function. Almost identical to the OEM Mikuni carburetor

Correct form and function. Almost identical to the Mikuni OEM carburetor. For me it was basically plug and play. This required a slight adjustment of the air-fuel system screw. Depending on your size and mod performance, you may need to reinstall.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Thin

Not so great. on the fuel system

Filled my old Mikuni carburetor. I figured that either the float was bad or the float valve/seat needed replacing. Since this carb was so cheap, I decided to give it a try. It arrived on time and the quality seems ok and it fits well and has no problems installing it on my '98 Yamaha Big Bear but I can't get it to work properly. When the choke is fully closed it idles but I have to use the full choke to get it moving and then it stalls when you release the throttle unless you remove the choke…

Pros
  • A good product for its price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Screwed it to the quad and works great. 1997 Big Bear 4x4

I was pleasantly surprised by this carburetor. My Dad's 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 4X4 ATV has been in storage for 7 years. Washed and all fluids changed incl. petrol tank and all new filters, spark plugs, battery. The existing carburetor was no longer in need of repair, it was simply completely broken. We fired up this new carb and the quad fired right up. We were both amazed. The carbs work great. The ATV doesn't like being on the throttle for too long after take off, only like 20 seconds or so…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
