Fits perfectly on my '99 Kaw Prairie 300 2WD. Leave the heater/thermistor connector disconnected or the wiring may melt. I replaced the heater/thermistor from an old carburetor, works fine as far as I can tell.

in stock order fast delivery. Got a 2000 Prairie 300cc. After playing around I decided I needed a carburetor. Bought. easy to assemble. But as mentioned in other reviews don't worry about connecting the heating cables. I did it and like the others it melted. disabled and everything else works fine. good, cheap carbs.

4 stars because the heating wire melted after about 4 minutes of work. However, I just cut the wire and after that it worked fine. I had to gouge out the new throttle body port with a drill to make it fit from the factory. Very clean, comes with a fuel feed line that you need to connect to the filter. Easy installation. Again I would have given 5 stars but the melted heater pipe made me nervous. 2002 Prairie Kawasaki.

This carburetor looks great, fits almost perfectly. 1.) Had to use an idle wire from three old carburetors because the replacement was short. 2.) After a short period of use, the wiring harness melted. I had to replace the wiring harness from the old carburetor. (I'm glad I kept it). 3.) About 3 weeks after the replacement, the quad had to be taken to a real quad mechanic. The dart didn't settle and gasoline got into the oil.

To be honest I've played around with the stock carburetor on my Prairie 300 for at least a couple of hours. It worked well but was still a bit iffy at higher rpm. So I decided to try the $50 carb. Wow! Wow! Wow! Ordered on Saturday evening, arrived on Monday. Plugged it in (had to replace the throttle fitting due to the size difference but could have drilled through the plastic fitting if needed) and it worked perfectly. Idle speed adjusted and everything! It's so cheap it's not even worth…
