It was perfect for widening our gate. Although the original door was purchased 7 years ago I was pleased to see that the quality and finish has not changed. We had no problems installing it and it does its job well.

I bought this with a special stair gate. The extension is quickly, easily and securely attached to the gate body. This solution allowed me to close the 60" wide hole at an angle. I am very happy with this product.

We have one at the top of our stairs and another (with extension) on our porch. This is a very high quality gate and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to block entry for children or pets. They feel secure and I'm not worried about my daughter trying to climb or pull on them. The one we have on the outside has developed rust on the stem, but that's to be expected as I don't think it was designed for outdoor use.
