This "brush" is too aggressive for cutting boards. The ends of the "bristles" are very sharp little chisels that bite deeply and unevenly. If you have that much wood to cut, you should probably use a planer.

This is a medium quality brush but is rare due to its wide and beautiful bristles. In the forge and for other metal work, this brush is particularly ideal. It would also be great for a grill brush or for rough woodworking at a shop.
