2005 Toyota 4Runner

I've used them on the front brakes on my 2005 4Runner and they work great. However, there are only 2 packs per pack, so you will need 2 packs to replace the driver and passenger side brake pads.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Will not fit 2017 Tacoma

My 2017 Tacoma has both pins the same size including longest one. Contains a long and a short. The short one doesn't go all the way through the caliper. The diameter is the same. For it to work you need to buy 4 sets.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • High price

Cheap and easy to get that feeling back

Great replacement for factory worn pins. You wouldn't believe pens would make such a difference, but they are. After so many miles, especially off-road and with newly designed brakes, grooves appear on the old pins and the edges wear out. This is a great option that is easy to swap out to bring your brakes back to like new condition. (along with pads, rotors and fluid)

  • Wow

  • I won't tell

It fits but not exactly OEM sizes. Still good

These guides fit my 2014 fixed calipers on my Tacoma. But compared to the factory guides, they have a little more play in all directions due to the slightly smaller outer diameter. The originals don't vibrate as much. They are well priced and will get the job done and I can't say for sure that the smaller diameter will make a difference. I've cleaned and reused my factory slides, but I keep the Carlesons in their case. By the way, there are two slides in each box. So you need two crates to get…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expensive

Sort fits 1985 Toyota Pickup

This is the correct diameter but they are about 1/2 inch longer. I didn't think it would make much of a difference until I realized that the movement of the pads can cause the pins to move one way or the other, and the retaining spring is designed to allow one movement only resists in one direction. This can be very dangerous as the pin could fall out and both pads could be lost. Well, not cool. I figured they were still better than my factory pins, so I broke two 1/16 bits and punched holes…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Update Availability
