I hate buying and using plastic. But. I needed a quality cake stand. I will keep this forever. I have the large size and I'm glad I did. I don't carry it by the cake handle. The lock should be on four sides, not two.

Wow, very impressive size and fantastic quality at this price. The bottom compartment fits snugly against the top when closed. However, I would never try to carry it by the handle. It could be quite good, but I'm not adventurous enough to try. It can hold a huge cake and load three layers without question.

I bought this container as an alternative to my existing glass dome container and also to prevent moths from getting on the banana bread you are baking. This is better than a glass dome container but it is not airtight and does not protect against ants, moths etc. I have an infestation that needs cleaning up but blocking their food source was my first and FAILING attempt.

We bought this to carry a 12" cake and the cake actually fits in the carrier. However, if you have a lot of frosting or decoration on the cake, it is NOT SUITABLE for this. Your 12 inch cake must NOT have any decorations on the outside edge or this holder will not fit. There is space at the top of the dome if the cake decor is just on top. Otherwise, it is a good holder for small cakes.

Facts: - this was the widest/tallest suitcase here that I needed ASAP for a birthday party - but the handles come out SO EASY which is so annoying - and it needs 3 or 4 handles, not 2 - but if you are very careful always support it with one hand from underneath and don't touch the locking handles after it's locked, this is a very airtight large cake stand. which can handle a fully decorated 2-tier 9 inch cake with frosting and not too tall candles on top.
