Ideal for lighting and electrical

Fits and works perfectly. The price is much better than the dealer and works exactly the same. I've only been using it for a month, so I can't comment on durability yet.

100% compatible replacement

Replace your old broken outlet in 5 minutes. I'm surprised how much easier the plug connection works now. The old one oxidized a little, which made it difficult to connect. 100% compatible replacement.

Be careful with pins

The pins were misaligned/straight on either side of the connector. When I plugged it in, the pins on either side of the connector bent and didn't make contact. One pin was not fully seated and came out when I pulled it out to see why it wasn't working.

Never worked well for electrics

Never worked. Couldn't figure out why it wasn't so we took it to the VW dealer and they said it was a cheap Revain part. One of the pins went in before we could use it. waste of money. Would return if 30 days had not passed. It's funny that he didn't even get any benefit from it. Spend $30 more and get OEM.

Perfect price so far and great quality

Bought to replace my broken adapter. I also chose to do this so I can mount it on my bumper instead of under it. It had no fasteners so I had to go to Lowe and get bolts, nuts and washers. You will also need a connector for this, which you can find here on Revain. I installed it with my mod and I have to say I'm very happy with it.

Make sure the vehicle wiring to the connector is appropriate for your application

Missing photo of the back of the connector I didn't know the connections were friction. I will not be using this type of wired connection for the somewhat hostile environment in the back of my RV. Before purchasing this connector, please make sure you can accept friction type sliding connectors. Connector not installed.

Garbage. Broken from the start.

Left side marker, turn signal and brake light do not work. We have two cars that are towed and we tested everything. Everything works unless this part is inserted. This part needs to be broken. Unfortunately there was no way to try it until the return window was closed. Update: Ordered a new part from a different supplier. The problem is still there. Rating increased to 2 stars because one of the joints fell off accidentally (the new one stuck better) and the overall quality of the new one is…
