Simple caliper piston compression tool

product works very well. Twisting and squeezing the caliper piston is now very easy. Luckily I had the right adapter for my car. Make sure the included adapters are suitable for your vehicle. You may need a different kit with different adapters.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • not for everyone

Great kit for the price

Personally I've never used it but my colleague has used it a few times and loves it (I think I've been lucky and haven't worked with cars they need) Works as As expected and the quality is good enough for the price. The only downside is the case size which is not too big but could be smaller given the size of the items.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Appearance

This one just about fits on my Mazda 3 2008 2. .

Almost fits my 2008 Mazda 3 2.0L but still good enough for a brake change. With Mazda brakes, this is a little less by about 2 millimeters. When changing the brakes, I thought the tool was stuck forever. You will need a wrench if you want to use this tool. Once the tool is tight, use the wrench on the hex portion of the bit and turn clockwise to loosen the tool.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Slightly chipped

Very good caliper compression tool.

I have only used this product once and it has worked as intended. This really makes it a lot easier to compress automotive calipers. I'm giving 4 stars because I think 5 stars is too much after just one use. If you make your own brakes I recommend this tool over cheap plastic handled tools, it doesn't cost much more and will last for years.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Useless features

Good price, lots of backing options, tool worked as expected.

I make enough brakes for me to justify this purchase. I have found the rear plates to work well with my odd pad cylinders. Price was not a factor in the decision, but it turned out that despite the high cost, there were many different plates in this kit to fit most caliper pistons. When it arrived my brakes used it to squeeze my pistons, they worked like clockwork. We recommend.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Great product if you have Honda rear calipers that need to be screwed in rather than compressed just to retract the piston. A great quality product is about $50 less from this seller, which seems the same as Autozone rentals for about $60. I had a stuck piston and couldn't turn it simply using a pry bar or pliers as shown on YouTube. LAUGH OUT LOUD. You'll need a kit like this to add rear pressure and turn the piston clockwise if your calipers aren't new. It's hard to be without a tool like…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
