We ordered two packs because our old ones broke where the key ring was attached. The first works great. (One shell only, you use your own innards from your old fob) The second one doesn't work as we found the molding restricts pressing the release and lock buttons on the circuit board. For the price I can't complain and I'll probably take another chance if we need more replacements.

Very easy - even without instructions. At first I couldn't get them to work, but eventually I figured out that there is one contact that touches the front of the battery and another that touches the side of the battery. The one on the side had no contact with the battery. I bent the pen a bit and it worked great. Advice. Go ahead and replace the battery while you're at it. Fits perfectly. Very happy.

This is a great way to refresh your old worn out key fob. It works well with the OEM electronics (although I had an issue with the key fob my wife uses. The location of the battery on the aftermarket fob made it too thick). The new keys create a nice crisp connection that really impresses. I may be crazy, but my range also seems to have increased (I can lock my car anywhere in the parking lot).

The outer shell is beautiful and appears to be as good as the original product. Not much for the rubber pad inside the case that forms each of the buttons, it's thinner than the OEM product and can sometimes move causing one of the buttons to get stuck under the case. This is problematic as it renders the key fob inoperable, which can be a big problem as some GM vehicles no longer have key door locking mechanisms that prevent you from entering a locked vehicle.

The body is well built but has a design flaw. With the original key fob, the battery contact touches the battery when the housing is closed. In this case, the battery contact is not pressed into the battery. I solved my problem by bending the contact. I'm concerned that this isn't a permanent solution, and I'm also concerned that it might damage the board. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have bought this device. Also, some reviewers are luckier. . I wonder if GM changed the design…

The look and quality of these keychains are very good but the function is not very good and I can't understand why. I can arrange the "inside" back to the original, but the body is cracked and everything works fine. Fit the "guts" into this new case, even after fiddling with the battery contacts as others have said there are times when it just doesn't work.
