I think this is a great soap dish - strong plastic, lid on top, great colour, easy to close/open - BUT although larger than most travel soap dishes, it's not big enough for soap. Usage (which comes in 7 ounce bars). I tried. It barely fit and there was no way to close it, let alone lock it. Ok I will keep looking and give it to someone using the right brand.

I like the soap dish. I don't normally use bar soap, but I've bought African black soap and heard that it dries out if left in water in the shower. This case does not fully exclude African black soap, which is larger than average soap. In this case it's even better because it dries the soap faster so I'm happy. This is a very good case. It should fit most soaps on the market, large size soaps don't allow the lid to fully close and latch.

You may have noticed that when you do this, things get slippery and tend to find their way to the ground, often with quite a bit of momentum, causing them to hit the hard ground beneath you crack open. Unfortunately, this container is too fragile to withstand impact, which becomes a problem since its use case includes the use of both soap and water. That means if you drop it, it will break.

These soap dishes are of acceptable quality for a soap dish. They snap firmly into place, are somewhat waterproof and have ribbed ribs on the bottom to keep the soap from melting and turning into a mess while in the case. They're also lightweight and the locking mechanism closes securely and I've had no issues with the latches opening on their own. For the price they do their job well and while they could have been made with a sturdier construction they work well and I use mine almost daily.

The first thing I did was drop and smash this soap dish with a new bar of soap. The fall broke one of the latches. But rest assured, it still works great with a locking tab. It seals well, holds a regular bar of soap well and I love that it makes a soap dish when opened. Also, wet soap packaging usually messes up my gym bag, and this soap box closes well, protecting my clothes and shaving kit from soap drips after a shower. You can buy cheaper cases BUT NOT better cases, I think the hinge of this case is paramount. Why do you ask . because there is no shelf in the sports hall showers. So when I use soap I just "fuck" the cover at the top of the shower curtain. The latch also makes a very nice click when properly engaged. Leaving the case closed BUT NOT locked is a great way to VENTILATE the soap inside, just for me. I really prefer to have DRY soap next time I use a bar of soap rather than a wet, slippery bar of…
