Best fly mask for pest control

With over 40 years of experience I don't know why I never knew about this brand before. I have 2 drum horses (ext lg draw size) that are particularly difficult to mount and this one fits even the largest of the 2. The material is soft and breathable with good breathability to keep the horse's muzzle well ventilated. The other 2 sizes I bought also fit. Now I will buy this brand.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Nothing here

lasted only one season

Bought these masks for drafts. She sits well and worked well while she served. However, the horses tore both masks very quickly and I had to repair them twice to last a season. The soft mesh around the ears, which makes the mask comfortable, is very easy to tear. The elastic in the edges lost elasticity in the second season. In general, I like the design, but the mask does not last long.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Periodicity

Fits my 14.2 hour horse Quater Horse

I have a small Quarter Horse gelding, regular horse sized fly masks are too big (the front goes up to the nostrils). this one fits well! He's worn it for a month without taking it to the pasture or tearing it - so I'm happy with the product. The only thing that's a bit odd is the chub section - you have to pull the chub hair out through the hole/gap between the ear holes. So if your horse doesn't like being touched on the ears. You might want to consider something else.

Pros
  • Nice to use

Great price for a good hard horse mask.

Really great mask. Some time ago I bought a silent vehicle that can be used while riding, but it's too fragile to graze. The Crusader is much more durable and easier to clean when your horse is out in the pasture. I am very satisfied and can recommend it without hesitation. My horse is a cross horse and I felt the horse was a little big so I ordered a small Quarter Horse/Arabian which fits great. Check the measurement chart provided by Cashel. A smooth ride is only good for riding, but for…

Pros

Great mask - holds!

Great fly mask. I bought it for my blue eyed horse and he couldn't take it off nor the other mask I wore him in. I've had the mask for a little over a week now and he puts it on every time he leaves the house. Willow (daily, if the weather is not rainy and frosty). It fits well, stays in place (double layer of velcro), has structure and doesn't touch his eyes, and the little hole for his forelock is a great feature. This was my first Cashel mask and I will definitely be buying more in the…

Two years conscript!

Finally, after two long seasons of flying with bullying and rubbing and forcing his mate to chew, our beloved draft horse has taken off the lower part and it is unraveling. So he gets a new one and we get two more years or more. The Velcro was chewed shorter, the strap double-stitched, and he eventually destroyed it. I am very happy with the mask. It suits him. This keeps the flies away from his eyes. Light gray color does not fry in the sun. It is easy to put on and take off. It was washed at…
