Caykur Filiz Turkish Tea 500Gr Review

Any Turkish tea needs to be steamed to reveal the taste and aroma. It is quite tart, slightly bitter, the aroma is pleasant. Very similar to the one bought in Turkey. We like.

The cut is small, very straight, but this is normal in Turkish culture. The taste is specific: there is practically no astringency and longevity, rather sour, the aroma is pleasant.

Using this tea our team found that it was a wonderful addition to our kitchen repertoire. The aroma that permeated our home while boiling the leaves was delightful, and the rich taste made for a lovely afternoon ritual. Plus, the 500g bag IS more than enough for regular use, ensuring our pantry is stocked. Although the leaves are a bit fine, requiring care not to spill, the overall experience is well worth it. highly recommend!

Based on my experience this tea leaves a lot to be desired. It has a surprisingly bitter taste that leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Even with additional sweeteners, the bitterness is overwhelming... As a tea enthusiast, I was disappointed with this brew..
