Easy to set up and use and works well. It works very well with meat both on the grill and in the oven. My only complaint is that I do a lot of peanut cracking and it doesn't respond as quickly as my previous digital candy thermometer. So far I'm very happy with this appliance. I've used it twice to make yogurt (set an alarm when the temperature drops to set point) and it's easy to set up and has a very clear alarm. The clip on the probe confused me a bit at first, until I realized that I need to squeeze the clip before inserting the probe into the clip (the instructions have a picture with arrows on this, but it's not mentioned in the text of the Instructions). Great product! I use it to make Greek yogurt and it's perfect for my needs. I have preset "high" and "low" temperatures so I can just plug in the thermometer and press the button for a high temperature alarm. When it beeps I just take the milk off the stove and press the same button and it beeps when it's cooled to the right temperature. Couldn't ask for more! The only disappointment was that the metal clip to securely attach to the pan didn't actually fit the thermometer, so I can't use it. So

I was so happy to find a thermometer that not only told me when I was getting a high temperature but also when it was going down to a low temperature. I wish you could turn off some features and get a cleaner display, but overall I was happy with the looks as I used a glass thermometer that fogs up while cooking candy.
