Very durable, well made. Great kayak ride.

I used it on the edge of the dock to provide a pulley to lower the kayaks in and out of the water. Works great, getting in and out is much easier.

Pros
  • Smith Panel Bracket P/n 10305g40
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

The mount and end caps were in the trash, the reel is excellent.

End cap was ripped off in packaging, then ripped off again and lost after first ride. The bracket is bent and cannot be repaired with a second boot. I made my own mounts and replaced the stem with a class 5 bolt. now i love it

Pros
  • Mounts with 1/2" or 7/16" hardware (not included)
Cons
  • No instructions

Great help! for tracks and rollers

I attached this to the side of the dock to hoist my hobie kayak out of the water. It's quite heavy and two people still struggle to jump over the dock trying to lift 65 pounds from an awkward position. Now I just pick up the bow with a rope handle, pick up and pull. The boat slides easily over the roller to lift the boat onto the dock where it is easier to lift.

Pros
  • Mounting slots on 10" centers
Cons
  • Some trouble

pos End Caps in Sport

After installing and checking end caps as recommended by other buyers. When I stopped at the boat ramp I discovered that somewhere along the way an end cap had come loose and the pulley was missing. very poor design needs to be drilled and secured. Very disappointed with the so-called American design. DO NOT BUY scrap. I will order the roller and the machine properly as I don't expect any help from the supplier

Pros
  • Diameter 5/8" x 13" Roller Shaft (Smith P/n 10725a)
Cons
  • Some Errors

Good roll and mount

High quality roll and stable mount. Although I almost lost the roller and pin the first time on the ramp. and the whole assembly almost went into the water. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache, replace the pin with a piece of threaded rod and some nuts, or drill through the included pin and add some cotter pins to keep it from slipping out.

Pros
  • Components included: Roll mount assembly 12" with TPR roll
Cons
  • Very expensive

Don't do this but if you need to upgrade it

I am very disappointed in this product. I opened the box and the end cap to the shaft was at the bottom of the box. It's hardened metal and those caps are a joke. This bar should have cotter pins and holes drilled in it. I don't have time to return this and need a video. I paid $20 to buy cobalt drill bits to try and install split pins on the ends of the shafts, but my drill bits are dull. Then I took the knurling, made grooves on the shafts and drove the caps in one punch to hold the caps. The
