Good for OEM. - Bulbs

I ordered these to replace my Harley dashboard as they are original equipment. But I have found some LED bulbs that are so excellent. They work great as OEM replacements. But LEDs are the future.

Pros
  • Cool item
Cons
  • Something else

These bulbs are not manufactured as accurately as they should be.

These lamps are not manufactured as precisely as they should be. Because they are so small, a millimeter or two difference in size will result in the onions not fitting. I encountered this problem with the first two tubes I tried to put in my '91 Accord. The first was probably 1.5mm wider than the outlet. The second was still wider than the original but narrow enough to fit, albeit snugly.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • DK

These bulbs appear to have been cast in sand.

These lightbulbs look like they were dropped in the sand by a child. The width of the base (the part that actually fits into the socket in a typical application) not only varies from lamp to lamp, but is also wider than the socket itself. So they literally don't fit. Out of ten lightbulbs I had to throw out all ten. I went to my local auto parts store and bought 2 packs of #74 bulbs and they fit perfectly. So I'm pretty sure it's not user error, just a lack of quality control.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
