While I wasn't overly impressed with how this cleaner cleaned my hob, it was fine and I could tell by the discoloration of the cleaning pad that I was removing food residue. I didn't actually polish the glass like I was hoping. Although I cannot fault the product. I understand that glass cooktops are destined to look cloudy and spoiled after a few years. This is arguably the manufacturer's way of getting anal cleaning fanatics to run out and buy a new stove. I would recommend using this product

I had an old VERY used ceramic stove in my house that hadn't been cleaned - maybe ever. They even managed to melt the lid off in a few spots around the burner. I was hoping for improvement and now I wish I had taken good "before" photos because I was able to remove all the burn and it looks great.
