Actually it doesn't fit 2013 Explorer

The original Motorcraft turned out to be easy. The new one is thicker and a little longer. It took a bit of fiddling to get it working. The new one is also a bit narrower. I will not buy again. I take the OEM model. FP68.

Fits but not as well as it should

Mostly Fit - Mustang filter holder under the windshield hood on the passenger side stretches the filters slightly towards the center with a couple of pins. Leaves small gaps in 4 corners. Says it's covered in baking soda. I just cut and add the activated carbon filter to seal it.

Replace this if you smell mold

People usually replace this if you smoke in the car but mine had water coming out of a broken drain under the hood, it was causing a horrible mildew/must smell in the car . Replaced it and cleaned the drain and the car immediately smelled better inside.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Poor Instructions

They seem to do what they are supposed to do

Ordered 2 of these in different sizes for different vehicles. Neither car had a bad smell to begin with, so I can't comment on how the filters will help circulate interior odours. They seem to help somewhat with outside odors like exhaust fumes, skunks, etc. They don't completely eliminate the odor, but they do bring it down to an acceptable level.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Update Availability

It was meant to replace the 2008 Mustang GT but it doesn't. Sorry, but it is unacceptable to have 3/8 inch gaps on the sides of an air filter that should be an exact replacement! Why someone admits a size problem in a review and still gives it a good rating is beyond me. , because with such large air gaps, IT DOES NOT FILTER PROPERLY!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Fits 2011 Mustang Just Fine

I was a bit wary because some said it was too small for 2012. But it fits my 2011 without any problem. My old filter started to smell. My Mustang isn't designed for everyday driving so I wanted to find something that would work better than an OEM style filter. I found this activated charcoal and baking soda FRAM filter and decided to give it a try. So far, so good. I wore it for a little over a week and my bad smell was gone. I will update when I have it longer. For now I would recommend it. If

Great air, don't know how that protects the engine.

List items are confusing. Filters up to 98% of dust, pollen and other impurities. Arm & Hammer baking soda combined with charcoal purifies the outside air passing through the ventilation system. Provides more airflow for improved performance and helps prevent musty odors from building up in the car. Prevents harmful particles from entering the engine and causing increased engine wear. there is no way that will happen. Wonderful! Fram's people are wizards of magic and imagination. The air is…

2013 Mustang V6 at Air Cleaner and Accessories

Got this for my 2013 Mustang V6. Some reviews said they fit perfectly, others said they were a little loose. I'll have to do with a little looser, but my husband stretched the edges a bit on the sides and it's a little better. Also, it's not going anywhere because it's in a frame and I don't think an issue with the installation will bring debris in. However, in about 6 months I will check, look and update (if only I heard something rattling in my air vents earlier). Docking with one star for…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

I received my air filter yesterday, the packaging was very good. After sending my previous filter back because it fit, I bought this one. First, the installation was easy, as it should be. When I removed my original filter, this went in very easily. It was almost a little on the small side. However, I can't complain as the last one was too big. Another thing to note - it has an arm & hammer to try and improve air quality. It's not known how well this works or for how long, but it does make the…
