You really have to use them.

I was shocked when I removed the original cabin air filter from my car. I'm surprised I didn't choke on all that dust. I used this filter as a replacement. Do I have to check more often? I didn't even know there was such a thing as a cabin filter until the dealer recommended replacing it.

Pros
  • Don't waste your time
Cons
  • You could get hurt

Cabin filter for Mazda 6 2004

The filter fits perfectly. A word of caution: Check the airflow directional arrow printed on the filter frame. The one I bought had the arrow pointing in the wrong direction. One side of the filter consists of pleats; on the other side there is a narrow strip of cardboard in the middle. The folded side should see the air first (i.e. the entrance side).

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not suitable for everyone

Didn't fit best in air filters and accessories

The product arrived intact, quickly and inexpensively. Looking at it, it seems to be decently made. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my car. Amazon says it fits Mazdaspeed 6 07 but it doesn't. It's more rectangular than the matching square filters, and the ribs are rotated 90 degrees from the factory so it can't be pinched. Nothing against the seller, seems to be Revane's fault.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

Fits my 2003 Mazda 6

Bought this filter for my 2003 and 2004 Mazda 6. It fits perfectly. It only takes a few minutes to remove and replace this filter - just make sure it is installed with the arrow pointing in the right direction. Before the replacement, I had a musty smell when I turned on the air conditioner. This filter seems to have fixed this problem. This is the only brand of filters I use in the salon. the price is great too!

Small flaws, large "freshness " not noticed

I haven't noticed any new "freshness" from installing the filter, but I've noticed that the arrows are upside down, it's impossible (and wrong) to put the filter on their imprinted arrows. It is not important to understand the direction of airflow, since the arrows are opposite the factory filter. The paper and overall construction appear to be of good quality and I believe it will perform as well as the original, but I'll try a cheaper filter next time to see if it's worth the price…

Pros
  • Everything in order!
Cons
  • For retirees

Ah, the smell of fresh air! 07 Mazda 6

If I had known how easy it is to swap them out (at least on most new cars) I would have done it much sooner. The end result is a cleaner car with a fresher smell and improved airflow, meaning the car cools down faster in time for summer. Hooray! On our 2007 Mazda 6 (the car this particular filter was intended for) and our 2008 Toyota Sienna, it took less than 10 minutes to remove the old filter and install the new one, and no tools were required. On the other hand, changing the filter on our…

Good filter? Best of Spare Parts

Bought after being curious if my dealer actually checked what they said (it didn't. Marked 'cleaning the cab air filter' and when I looked at it was it was black and all the leaves were stuck in. Nice job by the dealer). Fram's manual is actually pretty detailed and since I used to be behind the glove box it took me about 5 minutes to do it all. I highly recommend that you do it yourself, you won't regret it and save $50 at the dealer. Gave four stars because I didn't notice any difference in…

Solid product best in Air Filters & Accessories

I have a Mazda 6s 04 and this filter fits perfectly. My only complaint is that the airflow direction arrow on my product is pointing in the wrong direction. The filter I removed (which later internet research found installed correctly) had an airflow arrow pointing down and a band running down the center of the filter at the bottom of the filter (the side shown in the pictures). . On the filter I received, the arrow pointed in the opposite direction. I installed the device the same way as the…

Fits perfectly in 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon

I have a Mazda 6 Sport Wagon. Finding a suitable Revain worked well. It fits great. As such, I am not aware of the fit issues that other Mazda models and owners have had. Needless to say, the NEWER the car, the better it is to stick with the dealer (I did this for the first replacement I did). But as the car ages, third party parts like this filter become a better and more affordable option. Maybe these 2009+ cars can go to the dealer and also make sure they put the right model, year, engine…
