Excellent Quality Firewire Cable!

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, this firewire cable works great for transferring data quickly and smoothly. The clear design is stylish and the black connectors fit snugly. The length is perfect for reaching my computer without any restrictions or tangling. The only con is that the cable may not fit all devices as it is specifically designed for firewire connections. Overall, a great product that I would definitely recommend!

Pros
  • High-speed data transfer
Cons
  • Only available in one color

nice cable firewire!

with a cord that seemed to hold up and they stopped using it. typical. USB, Thunderbolt or whatever, they all seem fine for about 3 months before they stop working on one device or another. Firewire, on the other hand, has been around for years - the only reason I bought it is so I can keep the cables attached to my 3.5" external hard drive and CD/DVD burner.

Pros
  • Plug-and-play, hot-swappable, allows you to connect and disconnect FireWire devices without shutting down your computer.
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

FireWire computer port with 800 to 400 device port adapter cable.

I replaced it with a black one before shipping because it looked better and was of good quality. I use it to connect an outdated digital music interface to a new computer and it works great. Haven't tried using the Thunderbolt port with my TB-FW 800 adapter yet, but that part seems solid so far.

Pros
  • Transfer rate: 400 Mbit/s
Cons
  • Big and chunky
