This isn't chalkboard, it's black paper. The appearance is reminiscent of a blackboard. Chalk is not required for use with this product. I love the look and it was used to decorate my house for the holidays.

I used these to create a custom banner for a friend, The Last Traitor Farewell. I used a silver marker for the text and the black background was perfect. The baker's twine made it so easy to hang from my mirror. It's very easy to snap off pieces of the bad and thread through.

Great DIY Banner for less than $4! Multifunctional and easily interchangeable for any occasion or holiday. The chalk is easy to erase and hangs quickly. I just wish the banner pieces were more durable. It's more of a thin paper material so take extra care not to bend it, but other than that it's great!

They are made from thick cardstock paper. You can therefore only use them once. I've used chalk pens to write on them, but I can't erase them and rewrite something for a different use. However, you can use the other side to write something else. They are easy to use and come with a cord. Very cute and it worked great for my prom.

That was exactly what I wanted. They are disposable but can be used upside down and reversed. I used light colored chalk markers on them and they looked great on a black background. The parts were very easy to put on and not a single one broke. It was light enough to be taped to the wall with clear tape (and lasted longer than I care to admit!)
