Shimmering, desaturated colors

I like how these powders look, but I didn't get the saturated colors that the description says. I used them for paper crafts, so I mixed the powder with water: I might not have respected the proportions, but I didn't want to use the whole little sachet (3g) on a sheet of paper. The iridescent look is very pleasing, but the mica rubs the paper off your hands with the lightest touch (and I left it to dry overnight).

  • Beautiful

  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Not as concentrated as others I have worked with but nice

I have been working with chameleon pigments for a number of years now. I'm used to working with a level that gives really great effects. I don't want to use a ton to get the result. Let's take a look at them. HOW IT WORKS They are supplied in a blue metal pouch. Each of the different colors comes in its own zipped pouch inside the blue bag. UTILIZATION It comes with color changing colors but also has a large pack of dark mica. This is important because if you plan to use them, it's best to…

Pros
  • Long lasting finish
Cons

Good for adding to epoxy

I like the color changing effect these mica powders have. It offers a slight discoloration but a really nice shimmery finish. Some colors are sharper than others. You'll need to add a significant amount of epoxy for a rich look. I feel like it's a little less saturated than some of the solid colors I've used in the past. It hasn't had any adverse reactions to the 3 different brands of epoxy I've used. I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Soap making
Cons
  • Some bugs

Fun to work with

This is a set of mica powders with color changing properties. The kit should contain 6 small sachets, each containing 0.1 ounces of powder. Colours: golden red, fuchsia, violet blue, golden green, teal and purple. In my set were 2 bonus packs: dark and… unmarked (darker). I really enjoy working with these resin modeling powders. I used some with some crystal shapes. The powders mixed easily with the epoxy. The final product has a beautiful shimmer that changes color depending on the viewing…

Love the color change look

A few years ago I had a color change Pontiac Firebird that went from green to purple in color. I loved this car! Of course if it ever had an accident it would cost a small fortune to repaint it but luckily for me I sold it in good condition when I needed something less interesting and more practical. Anyway, I have a thing for color changing dyes and this was the first time I've used them to make drop earrings. They turned out beautiful, the changing colors as the earrings move is mesmerizing -

Pros
  • Dyes

  • Questionable purchase for seniors
