The luminaire hangs too low even on the shortest mast. I ended up spending money on this product. I gifted this light to my in-laws who are all much shorter than my 6ft 5in husband who had to crouch or avoid the dining room altogether to avoid banging his head on the light. Instead, I replaced that lantern with a Walker/Edison industrial flush mount lantern.

Wow! I saw something similar on another site but took a chance and ordered this one. Who would have thought that lighting fixtures could bring you joy and change the look of a room so much. Looks very nice and the quality is great for the price. I wish I had another place to hang another. The purchase is definitely worth it. PS I never write reviews, but that's why I did it!

I bought these because they looked exactly how I wanted them for about a quarter the price. I found them in an expensive store, but the headband was wary of pulling the trigger and buying them because of the price. I found them and decided to try them based on other good reviews. I bought this light to replace a recessed light I installed almost a year ago. Installing a hidden light almost ended my marriage so I was afraid to take it off and replace it. I'm happy to report that the installation process for this light was extremely easy with lots of extra wires to work with. The lamp also looks great; The wood looks like wood and the metal rod is better than the hanging chain. The only problem I have is that I can't get it to hang completely perpendicular to the ceiling.
