UPDATE: This won't take long. I had them activated with a timer, maybe 3 days successfully. Currently? You won't stay for the last 5 minutes. Unless I set them to red or green with no effect. It was TRASH. Save money and buy another set. I like her. The only thing I would like is a multicolor setting to see all colors at once. But overall I love them! I bought the color turquoise and was pleasantly surprised that they really are turquoise. However, special functions such as flashing etc. only work with RGB lighting, not with other colors. It worked fine for a day and then the light started to turn off quickly after I just turned it on. On the second day, they only last about 3 minutes before shutting off completely. These lights have an auto shut off function after 4 or 8 hours. Many different patterns and light colors. I was able to wrap these wires around the suction cup hooks on my windows and plan on wearing them year round just changing the colors to match different holidays. A fantastic light set for the money. It features 12 distinctive colors, but it's actually more like 9-10. These 100 lights fit my 4.5 foot tree perfectly. The speed controls on the remote are a bit iffy and only seem to work noticeably in some chase modes and strobe effects. I was a bit disappointed that solid colors can't have any effect other than a permanent one and that there isn't a combo with just red and green, but in the end I liked the other multicolor features so much it didn't matter
